Port Arrivals and Departures

Arnold Hague's ports database covers over 1,000,000 ship arrivals and departures from more than 1,400 ports across the world. This section of the web site allows you to search any port to find the arrivals and departures on a particular date or period. This can be of interest for any number of reasons, for example:

The port and date of embarkation are known and one needs to confirm the ship or the convoy.
Note that emabarkation may occur several days prior to sailing.

One needs to confirm where ships joined a particular convoy.

To check whether there was a possibility of unescorted vessels sailing in company.

To determine what merchant vessels were involved in a particular operation or landing.

... etc. etc.
However, it should not be inferred that the records are complete.
